With the first release in juny 2007, internationally respected Roots&Culture Reggae music of high quality appears on Planet Dread Records.

Planet Dread Records supports and publishes Reggae artists from all 4 corners of the world.
In particular young and unknown but also well-known artists shall be promoted by Planet Dread Records.

The peacefulness, close affinity to nature and the idea of unity in the Reggae music, connected with the energy to enjoy and live out Reggae music, were the fundamental basis of creating Planet Dread Records.

Planet Dread Records is operated by Heiko Senger-Bhadra, born 1968 in Hamburg, Germany.
The day-to-day and spiritual force of the Reggae music inspired him already years ago.

In 1988, he began to play percussion for local bands, such as Dub Division, One Drop Posse, Dub Me Ruff, Natty Rebels and Di Irie’s as well select for Dub Me Ruff Sound System.
At that time, he was already collaborating with artists, such as Don Abi and Gentleman from Cologne as well as Iration Steppas and Alpha & Omega from UK.

Since the 90th, he supported the first North German Sound Systems, such as IRE HI-FI, Silly Walks, Crucial Vibes, Concrete Jungle et al. and assisted with many events like Dub Conference, Dub Club, Roots Clash as well as with the legendary Urban Sound Clash in 1992 where 13 sound systems and one live stage were competing for the favour of the audience.

The first Reggae studio Sound Navigator in Hamburg was also built up with his assistance.

In the meantime there are new and many other places of production for Reggae music that are supported by Planet Dread Records.
